I've been asked before if I wasn't a photographer, what would I be? Well even though my parents probably want me to say doctor, I would have to say an interior designer or a floral designer. I'm not heading to medical school anytime soon, but I absolutely love photographing interiors and floral designs! I love how interiors, just like people, have their own personalities. Whenever I walk into a space, I love looking around at all the little details that give away hints to the lives of their owners. I use this as inspiration on how to photograph the spaces since no two spaces are ever the same.
HGTV Canada is featuring a series of Canadian interior design in celebration of Canada's 150th birthday this year. One of the interiors featured is this beautiful, light filled nursery designed by Alana Firestone Interiors which is a perfect blend of contemporary and vintage designs.
Currently featured in the latest 2017 issue of Rue Magazine. This condo space designed by Lark and Linen is everything I wished my first condo was, modern without feeling cold, with bold uses of wallpaper as key features in different spaces. This space is affectionately dubbed "Small but Mighty"!
Ok, so I love Krystin's blog, Suburban Faux Pas because I can totally relate to living in the 'burbs but still being a city girl at heart. I have to say she makes living in suburbia look good though, just check out her master bedroom designed by both Lark and Linen and Pepper B. Design.
It has always been a dream of mine to have a studio space since I started my photography business. Being a mom means I need to juggle a lot of schedules and running out to a studio isn't always feasible. Luckily, Jacquelyn helped me design the perfect at home studio.
Michelle first reached out to me when she quit her job and start her own business. I know how scary it is to leave a job with a regular pay cheque but if you never try, you will never know. I'm so happy that she went for it because the transformation she did with her home was incredible.
Jacquelyn Clark's first home holds a special place in my heart because it's the first project we ever worked on together. From there our "business" relationship quickly turned into a friendship and now it's no secret I'm a big fan of her and her work.
Gaby Burger is the beauty and brains behind the fashion and lifestyle blog, The Vault Files. Not only is she super stylish, she's also a mom and makes balancing both look so easy (though I know she puts in a ton of work and commitment in both areas). She is such an inspiration!
